Post Round 1 Report : Finlandia
Finlandia finished the first round of the tournament in eleventh-place. Robert Niemi's first round 5-over par, 76, was the lowest for the team on the round. Finlandia is 59 shots behind the leader, Central. Niemi is currently six strokes behind the individual leader, Anton Olsson of Lawrence U. His 5-over par 76 was better than his season average round of 11-over par.
For the round, Finlandia shot a 6-over par 77 from Andrew Brownlee, a 87 from Colin Longeway and a 112 from Brandon Passiely.
Central hopped out ahead of the field to start the tournament, with a team total of 293. Carthage (300) is second-place, with Carroll (316) and Concordia (316) are currently in a tie for third-place at the MSOE Invitational.
