Post Round 1 Report : Rutgers

Rutgers finished the first round of the Bearcat Spring Classic in a tie for eleventh-place. Christina Paulsen shot a team best first round 5-over par, 77, at the Mission Inn Resort Los Colinas. Rutgers is 21 shots behind the leader, Memphis.

Paulsen carded one birdie and six bogeys in her first time around the course. Paulsen is currently seven strokes behind the individual leader, Emily Goldenstein of Memphis. Her 5-over par 77 beat her previous season low round of six-over par.

For the round, Rutgers shot an 8-over par 80 from Emily Mills, a 80 from Jackie Mullens, a 82 from Racquel Zurick, and Tatum Jackson shot a 82 for the round.

Memphis jumped out to an early lead, with a team total of 298. NDSU (303) is in second, while Cincinnati (312), Seminole State (312), and Seton Hall (312) are currently in a tie for third at the tournament.
